Flash Electronics Announces New Management in China Facilities

Silicon Valley Hires Relocated Offshore to Handle Manufacturing Operations

FREMONT, Calif. (October 6, 2003) - Flash Electronics, a leader in global electronic manufacturing services (EMS), announces three additions to the Flash Electronics China management team to spearhead operations at the Shanghai (Feng-Jing) and Suzhou facilities. Bringing over 30 years of experience in EMS, Stephen Jehng, William Chang and IK Cheng will relocate to Shanghai from Silicon Valley immediately. With the dexterity of Flash Electronics’ on and offshore production and the advantages of turnkey operations, customers gain earliest entry into their markets.

Stephen Jehng, new vice president of operations and general manager of Flash Electronics China, will oversee all of the China facilities operations. He graduated with a masters of science in engineering management from University of Louisiana. He was recently director of operations at Solectron where he worked for 13 years. William Chang, new director of program management for Flash Electronics China, also comes from Solectron with 7 years of experience in management, programs, operations and engineering in the EMS industry. IK Cheng, new director of materials and specializing in the region’s manufacturing operations, moves to Flash China following 4 years at Solectron’s Suzhou operations. Prior to Solectron, Cheng, held a senior position in materials management at DEC Taiwan.
