New executive management member of Flash

Ming Shih and Ted Pennington to Lead CEM’s Global Strategies and Initiatives

Fremont, Calif. (September 25 , 2006) - Flash Electronics, a leading global provider of electronics manufacturing and integrated supply chain services, announces two new executive appointments. Mr. Ming Shih joins Flash Electronics as executive vice president of Flash Electronics Global and interim general manager of Flash Electronics China. Mr. Shih reports directly to Chin Fan, president, and is responsible for the strategic roadmap of the global businesses, manufacturing operations and supply chain management. Also reporting to Mr. Fan is Ted Pennington, who joins Flash Electronics Global as vice president of supply chain management. Mr. Pennington is overseeing the developments in the CEM’s on- and off-shore supply chain and hybrid strategies and global vendor managed inventory initiative (VMI). Both executives bring distinguished talents to the corporation. Mr. Ming Shih has more than 20 years experience in senior executive positions of multinational companies including JDSU and E-Tek Dynamics, and is renowned for leading his own company through an IPO in 2001. Mr. Shih received an M.S. from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an M.S. from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Mr. Ted Pennington has a successful track record of transforming supply chain management organizations into lean, high performance teams. He recently served as vice president of supply chain management at Tellabs and was senior director at AFC. Mr. Pennington is practiced in lean manufacturing processes and led successes of implemented methods from his roles as director of manufacturing strategy realization for Lucent Technology and senior manager of new product introductions (NPI) for Cisco Systems.
