Flash Electronics Selects Software Partners

FREMONT, Calif. (May 15, 2003) –Flash Electronics, a leading global contract electronics manufacturing (CEM) company, has selected Serus Software and Polydyne Software’s QuotewiniX to facilitate resourcing at all Flash USA facilities. These software advancements are expected to significantly optimize direct labor, equipment and material schedules, driving down the costs associated with inventories and supply chain management while increasing transactions and capacity levels.

Flash Electronics handles over 100 million component placements per month at each of its three US facilities. By integrating Serus Software and Quotewin with the current SAP system, Flash strives to achieve the same efficiency in resource utilization for every order.

Serus Software synchronizes the supply chain using variables such as rules-based fulfillment execution and real-time reconciliation between trading partners. With the ability to synchronize the supply chain and monitor a customer’s demands throughout a product’s lifecycle, Flash Electronics can determine the most efficient and cost effective deployment of materials.

Flash Electronics selected Quotewin, a direct materials sourcing tool developed specifically for CEMs, to streamline quote processing. By analyzing quote statistics and sourcing competitiveness, QuoteWin allows Flash Electronics to react quickly to changes in the marketplace.
